Rednock Sixth Form have close links with the University of Bristol. Many Year 12 and Year 13 students have participated in the Access to Bristol and Pathways to Health Science programmes over the years.

Students attend a series of sessions on Wednesday afternoons during the autumn or spring term. The sessions give students an idea of what it is like to study at the University of Bristol, working with academics and current students who can offer advice and guidance about higher education and their subject area. Taking part shows a commitment to further study that strengthens university applications. Students who successfully complete the programme are guaranteed a contextual offer/interview from Bristol University.

Statement from Nadia Fulford – Current Year 13 Student

β€œI attended Access to Bristol in Autumn 2019 and studied Economics. Access to Bristol was an amazing experience as I got to meet so many different people from friends, who I am still in touch with now, to making connections with professors and professionals in the financial sector. It was a great opportunity to get a snapshot into life at University as I attended lectures, seminars and was given advice with applying to University. A great bonus to attending is the contextual offer as it guarantees me an offer at the University of Bristol at two grades lower! There are so many subject streams toΒ choose from too.”
